Front glass rules

Front side windows (driver and passenger) generally need to allow enough light through — commonly understood as at least 70% VLT. The windshield should remain clear aside from a legal upper strip where allowed.

We measure and recommend legal front percentages so you get UV and glare control without risking a roadside ticket.

Rear glass flexibility

Rear side windows and the rear windshield typically allow much darker tint for privacy and heat control. That is where most drivers go darker while keeping front doors lighter and legal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I put limo tint on front doors in Ontario?

Very dark (low VLT) tint on front doors usually violates Ontario rules. We keep front doors legal and put darker privacy tint on the rear where allowed.

Will you refuse an illegal request?

We advise on legal options and install accordingly. Staying legal protects you and keeps the install warrantable.
